2008 User Conference: Golf Outing

Last year a few of us played a scramble format round of golf on Wednesday afternoon after the close of the conference.

We had a great time despite the hot day.

I would like to see if we can get another outing going this year.

We will call this the 2nd Annual ‘Pab Invitational’ (if it happens).

I plan on playing a round no matter what.

This is open to attendees and a guest or local Healthvision customers who are unable to attend the conference and their guest.

As I said we played Wednesday afternoon last year but we can do whatever day fits the majority’s schedule.

If you are interested, post a reply here and indicate what days/time (AM or PM) would work for you.

Oh – and if anyone can suggest a course near the Hotel that would be great.

  All,
  
  We have a volunteer to coordinate the course, etc.
  
  All we need to do is to determine how many golfers and when.
  
  So far there are a couple of us.
  
  By the way, this is intended to be an enjoyable time.
  
  I am a duffer at best when it comes to golf, but I do enjoy the day, the course, and the good company.
  
  You do not need to be a good golfer.

  All I have to do is show up and play bad golf.
  
  I can do that.
  
  I booked an extra day on my room so I’m currently on track to loose some golf balls.

  At this point we have 8 confirmed golfers (some contacted me independently).
  
  This is the last call.
  
  I need to have a number here by the end of next week (9/5/2008) so that proper arrangements can be made.
  
  This will be a ‘scramble’ format and so fun is the order of the day.
  
  There will be some of the ‘Who’s Who’ of Cloverleaf(R) playing – what a great opportunity to let loose after a successful conference.
  
  If you do not have clubs, let me know I am sure rentals can be obtained.

  Texas Star Golf Course

  Greens Fees 57.00 w/cart and range (there is a discount if you are a Senior).
  
  It is about a 35 minute drive from the Hotel to the course so obviously we will need to leave no later than 1:45 PM to have sufficient time to get to the course.
  
  Some of the players will need transportation and some may have transportation.
  
  Please reply if you will have transportation or if you need transportation.
  
  I have committed to provide transportation for Bryan Dort and have room for one more golfer with clubs. If you have transportation and have room, please let us know.
  
  Please contact the course if you need to rent clubs.

  I (Russ Ross) will have transportation and could carry 3 passengers comfortably and hopefully one of them can navigate.
  
  I will be driving a Nissan Pathfinder.
  
  I’m assuming I will get registered for the conference soon.
  
  As you know, our finanacial person has to do the registration.
  
  I got final director approval of the manager approval to attend the conference yesterday.
  
  Our financial person attempted to register me yesterday and has left word to be contacted so he can initiate my registration.

  The first Team was made up of Jim Kosloskey, San Brown, and John Lee.
  
  The Second Team was made up of Torfinn Karingen (I think I have that correct), Russ Ross, Tom Rioux, and Bryan Dort.
  
  As usual, this was a scramble format.
  
  The Texas Star Golf Course is a wonderful course and everyone had a great time.
  
  The teams tied at 72 (no real golfers in the bunch apparently).
  
  I have attached the score cards.
  
  If you will be attending next year’s HealthVision User Conference and would like to join us for a fun round of golf, please look for postings next year.
