Can you have two versions of Cloverleaf running at the same time on the same box? We are planning a conversion from Cloverleaf 5.4.1 to Cloverleaf 5.6 on HP-UX. We were thinking of feeding our inputs to both Cloverleaf versions.
I’ve no experience of Unix but on a Windows server I’ve run four different versions of Cloverleaf at the same time. The only problem I had was having to ensure that I didn’t use the same ports on more than one instance to connect to the same third party system.
Does multiple versions apply to the client software? Some time back I got the CD of 5.4 (OEM from McKesson) to test while running 5.2.1. It would not install the client on Windows unless you said “yes” to delete the older version. Is that how it’s supposed to work?
