We are about to move a new thread with several new routes into production, and short of hcinetdiff and hand entering changes into production, are there any best practices or standard methods for doing this in Cloverleaf 5.5 Rev1 on AIX 5.3?

      Thanks,

      Bob

          Bob,

It’s not standard, but you can split your NetConfig file into separate “units” (i.e. prologue, process, protocol).  Replace each unit in a copy-of-production NetConfig with whatever units you are migrating from development.  Concatenate all the units together (prologue, then processes, then protocols) into a single file.  Open the new file with the NetConfig tool to validate it.

You still have to watch out for things like hard-coded directory paths, but at least you never miss an arg on procs in TPS stacks.
