    Enhancement short description:

I would like hcirootcopy enhanced to have an additional site name argument to allow the user more direct control to hcirootcopy an individual site.

    Date:

    04/25/2008

    Operating System:

    AIX

    Version of OS:

    5.3

    Cloverleaf Version:

    5.6

    Revision:

    Rev 0

    Tool:

    hcirootcopy

    Enhancement Long Description:

hcirootcopy is designed with a mindset to copy all sites and I would like it enhanced to have a sitename argument to only copy one site on demand.  This becomes useful when you evolve to having many smaller sites.  It is easy to mess up when having to say no to 100+ hypnotic site name prompts with the current hcirootcopy to get down to the one site you are interested in.  I actually noticed that hcirootcopy is a perl script and modified it to create mda_hcirootcopy.pl to include an argument for site name and if site name argument is “all” then it will hcirootcopy all sites like it does now.  Otherwise it will just hcirootcopy the site specified.  I do not plan to post mda_hcirootcopy.pl or share it with others at this time because that might create an unecessary burden on cloverleaf tech support.
