Has anyone utilized TCL’s TLS package for OpenSSL to implement a web service connection? I’m having issues getting TLS to verify the server’s certificate even though OpenSSL will without a problem.
We are an AIX5.2 shop running dual Cloverleaf integrator roots 5.3 REV3 and 5.4.1 (soon to be deploying REV2 – stay away from REV1). We have an https interface to a payer that has been running successfully in Production for about 4 months now with no issues. With Quovadx’s help, we have developed/deployed our https interface on CL5.4.1 using TclCurl as the driver (not documented but available). We specify a UPOC protocol and insert the driver routine with the TclCurl. For us, we are doing SSL over HTTPS with only a username and password for authentication and supplying an SSL generated certificate.
I plan to do a presentation this Fall at the October Quovadx Users Conference if you can wait that long: Case Study for Secure Messenger (aka TclCurl and SSL).
I hope this helps you out in your development efforts.
Oh by the way you need to purchase an SSL license from Quovadx first.
Enjoy.
