Lock Conflict question

When I try to view/edit a NetConfig that someone has been using, I get a Pop-Up Lock Conflict message –

“File is already locked by ……

Do you wish to break the existing lock?”

Then if I click the “No” button, I get another Pop-Up –

“Do you wish to open the file as read-only?”

If I clock the “Yes” button, I get the same two Pop-Ups again.

Any idea why I have to answer the same questions twice?

It’s bad enough that I have to answers these questions once, let alone twice. If the product had a “Open for Read” option, I wouldn’t get either Pop-Up, instead of always trying to open for edit.

Running Qvdx 5.4.1 on AIX 5.2, using Windows 2000 as my GUI client.
