changing HL7 formatting

I am not sure how to proceed with this problem. I am writing HL7 messages to a file and ftp’ing them in a batch. I need to find a mechanism to put a crlf at the end of each segment.

Is there something I can put in the HL7 configuration for the outbound message? Does someone have a script that I could run on the completed file before the ftp?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
