      Has anyone developed a checklist that you use to make sure all references to an old root are gone, before you uninstall?

          What I’ve been doing is, when I think I’m no longer referencing the old root I rename it by appending _hide to the name like

          /whatever/old_root_hide

          then I’m on high alert to look for issues to surface.

          Depending on the issues that surface I have the choice to quickly unhide the old root or either change the reference.
