I attempting to create a HL7 to XML results interface. Does anyone have a XML schema for a lab result type message that they would be willing to share?
This is only my opinion, but I feel the receiving (or sending) system should publish a Schema which will compile and provide a message/file/document which will validate against the schema.
In my opinion, if neither of the above occur (schema won’t compile or their sample data will not validate against their schema) I would send everything back and tell them to try again.
I do not intend to be in the schema building/repair and validation business for other systems (sending or receiving).
