In that post the platform was HP-UX and the file that had the answer to their time problem was

/etc/TIMEZONE

and the entry of interest was

TZ=CST5CDT

which they changed to

TZ=CST6CDT

to fix their problem.

I’m on AIX like you and located my

TZ=CST6CDT

entry in the following file

/etc/environment

which might be something for you to check on your AIX servers of interest.

Hi Everyone,

We are still on 3.8 (upgrade to platform V in a couple of months).  However, we too are having the problem of the netmonitors time off by an hour.  It still is not in the daylight savings mode.  The UNIX server and the pc time is correctly reflecting daylight savings time.  We have the DIGITAL ALPHA and on TRU 64.

In the timezone file, we don’t have an entry for TZ.  Ours looks somewhat like this:
