Monitor Daemon Hangs- Debug Mode Info

We have been experiencing hangs in the monitor daemon where messages stop moving until we stop and start the monitor daemon. Usually we do it from the GUI and as soon as we stop and start it, messages start moving again.

I have been watching the error log and the regular log for the monitor daemon but really didnt see anything that jumped out at me as wrong. I removed all of our alerts that we put in also but still the monitor daemon hangs.

I saw a suggestion to run the monitor daemon in debug mode. What would I be looking for in the log to give me a clue as to what is really wrong with it? Any help is appreciated.

  I got the error message when it hangs, it is:
  
  [icl :tcpi:DBUG/1: hcimonitord] Tcpip error code: 246, Operation would block
  
  [icl :tcpi:DBUG/1: hcimonitord] Tcpip Raw length actually sent is -1 bytes
  
  Any enlightenment would be greatly appreciated
