Duplicate Orders

We recently brought up an inbound order interface with a Cerner Millenium Reference Lab system. We are receiving duplicate orders on a daily basis. The client tells us it is a training issue; the users are transmitting multiple times. I would think the Cerner system would have something in place to prevent this or at least prompt the user that they could be sending duplicates.

Does anyone have any similar experiences? If so, was there a solution?

  Are you receiving duplicate order messages, or duplicate orders each with distinct order IDs?

  We are receiving duplicate orders – we might receive one at 8am and another at 5pm – they are identical except for the time in the MSH.

  Most (if not all) versions Millennium have a selection script for outbound interface messages named ESO_GET_ORDER_SELECTION. This is a Cerner CCL script that is designed to be customized by or for the client. It is used to suppress different message types. My guess is that your implementation is sending a

  we had a almost the same problem but we received like a 20000 instance of the same order it appeared that it was some internal error from cerner side and now cerner has release a patch for it , but our hospital did not want to use it because no client hospital has tested it so far and they didn
