      Hi all !

I’m very new to QDX/Cloverleaf and have been tasked with doing performance testing of a small part of what is done with it. We now use Eclipsys’ SCM as the major patient tracking tool which has replaced an old homegrown tool. The old tool used to do the ADT function. QDX is now used to generate the ADT info. This is the part that I need to do performance testing on.

Does QDX have any built in performance tracking tools/log files? Does anyone have a recommendation on test tools to use to measure data throughput (in and out of QDX)?

      Thanks

          Jay.

(IMHO) We use iSoft’s ICM (which was originally Eclipsys SCM before new features/bugs were added!).

This uses MSMQ to store messages sent from Cloverleaf and processes at its leisure.  The performance issues we have found have always been on the ICM side.  Things to looks out for ..

If MSMQ has 000’s of messages queued and crashes, it can (in our experience) lose the lot.

Too many workers can tangle themselves.

A materialised patient can take 10 or more seconds and other workers seem to lose the messasge they were processing if there is a database lock.

Some messages are acked with a good HL7 ack whereas in fact they failed processing!
