Hello everyone. I am attempting to resend messages that are several days old and have passed through the SMAT utility. I tried to load the file back into SMAT, but am getting an error that says either the index or message file cannot be found. I also tried the resend function from the thread menu and although it seems to get through the process without any errors I still do not see any messages processing through the engine. I have a pre-outbound TCL procedure on this thread. My selections in the resend function are: Outbound pre-TPS, Msg Type = Data, Priority changed, and File Format = New Line. Any ideas of why this is not working? Am I missing something? Thanks for any help.

      Hi James,

How was the file you are attempting to resend created?  Is it a saved message file or was it saved via the resend function in SMAT?  SMAT will only open up valid saved message files (consisting of an idx and msg file) .  If the file was created using the Smat resend function, the file format is len encoded not new line.

You also need to know if the messages you are attempting to resend were previously processed by your pre-tps outbound proc.  If so, normally you would not want to run them through again.

      James,

in order to load the file into SMAT, smat expects *idx files only. It also associated with msg files. For example if youa re loading ADT_in.idx, it should also expects ADT_in.msg file in the same directory.

Once you locate both of them you should be load it.

      Hope this helps.

      Reggie
