We’re in the process of moving/upgrading one of our engines from 3.8.1P on AIX 5.1 to another box on 5.3 and AIX 5.2. We’re having a problem getting our LU 6.2 connections (I know, I know, move to TCP/IP) going on the new machine, and I’m wondering if anyone else has seen these errors. The SNA configuration was copied from the old box to the new box. The link station and sessions with the mainframe are running and available. I have a feeling it’s something small we’ve overlooked, but just can’t seem to figure it out.
When the thread is started, I get the following error in the process log;
06/02/2006 11:01:35 [appc:open:ERR /0: from_tds] Unable to register TPN ‘HUT4’: Error 0
In the SNA error log, we see this error;
“A request to invoke a TP was rejected because the TP was not configured in the invocable TP data file.”
I’ve verified that the SNA configuration between the two boxes is identical. So, I’m at a loss.
Any help/insight anyone can provide would be most appreciated.
Have a great day!
