NPPES NPI XML Medicare – anybody built this beast yet?

We are in the early stages of reviewing the requirements from Medicare (NPPES NPI) for bulk enumeration for the National Provider ID. Has anyone attempted this yet? If so what releas of Cloverleaf?
Most importantly has anyone obtained the Schema file?
What stories do you have to tell??
