site clean up question

Hello,

I have a short, easy question.

I am trying to put together our Cloverleaf maintenance procedures, and I was wondering about site clean ups (clearing the shared memory, removing monitorschmem file, hcidbinit, keybuilds and dchains)

Is it best practice to do this from time to time (such as part of monthly maintenance) or only when there is a dire situation?

I am with CL 5.2 on Windows 2000.

  I have read somewhere the recommendation is for a monthly ‘clean-up’.
  
  We ‘clean-up’ sites when necessary – generally when (occasionally) the database/memory has become large after a message build-up etc.
  
  We only stop sites when a change requires this or for a failover
