Lock Manager will not start

      I am just starting up a site with P5.3R3 and the monitor daemon will start but not the lock manager.  When I check the hcilockmgr.log it says it is starting then says it is receiving a SIGNAL 11 and terminates:

      Lockmgr Named: lm_qdx5.3_support

      DBTMP directory: /quovadx/qdx5.3/integrator/support/exec/databases/

      Lockmgr started at Wed Nov  2 13:53:40 2005

      Signal 11 received, Lock manager terminating……Done

      Lockmgr ended at Wed Nov  2 13:53:40 2005

      I checked kmem and it was set to 440 so I set it to 444.  Is there a set up that I forgot or is there some other problem I am not aware of.  Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated.  Thanx!

          was a long time ago so I really do not remember.  I would try doing a ps -ef|grep lm_ to see what lock managers you have running.  if all else failed we probably rebooted the server

              no, was weird that I got a question on this post yesterday.  have been away from CL for several years working with Epic at JHH.  was not sure if the question was recent or some kind of delayed reaction.  I have only one outstanding question on the list but it is not needed any more as they resolved it without me.  thanx for checking on my sanity!!
