      Hello to All,

My question today is – How do I setup an Alert which will be excuted when a process Panics?

We had a process panic on Sunday morning(early) and I would not have known until Monday if I didn’t get a call from the sending vendor saying that data was not going to me. So, now I need to setup an Alert so I know before they know. The alerts that I do have are set to trigger only on weekdays not weekends.

Any help or suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks and have a nice day  ðŸ˜‰

          Russell,

The simplest way is to configure an alert to trigger when the process is dead; i.e. “engine status == dead”.  When the process panics, it goes ‘dead’, so you can trigger your alert based on that.

          Hope this helps.

Our processes panic sometimes too, and we are trying to setup an Alert to send a paging msg when the thread is dead, but the paging always not working.

Anyone has the same experience to share?

            Thanks,

              Sam,

From time to time we also experience paging problems. We rely on the Help Desk continuos monitoring of the interfaces to detect this type of problems and we have the pages as a second type of notification (for the few cases that the Help Desk takes too long to check the interfaces)
