For those of us who were unfortunately unable to attend the User’s Group  🙁 , will you be posting any information (like presentation slides, etc.)?

                  ok .. Here’s my elevator take ..

The dancing icons are back …  🙁

The company has decided to develop Cloverleaf NG (next generation)

(from the description it sounds a lot like Platform X)

The current engine will be ‘like’ a plug-in, and will be fully backward compatible with the current config files.

I would prefer to see a ‘protocol’ expansion, but that’s not the future.  😥

It would be nice to have some developers attend, in addtion to the  product managers….

                  ….

That said, there does appear to be some plug-in development by the implementation group. It wasn’t clear to me if the plug-ins will be included, or a separate cost.  It also wasn’t clear if they will function in Cloverleaf NG

                  ….

On the plus side .. the company has rebounded financially, and personel seemed up beat.  Rumblings of “will we make it” (as heard last year) were not present.

                  ….

Lots of talk about Regional Health initiatives….

It may be taking ground around the country, but most places will need Federal assiatance to get it rolling..

Most attendies indicated that money was tight, and not a lot of ‘stratigic’ investment was occuring …. that said… it seemed better than last year, as I didn’t hear about lay offs…

                  ….

For those not attending .. I strongly encourage you to attend next year…

It is a reasonable technical group of people who attend.

I gain from getting the ‘heartbeat’ of healthcare, and just hearing about other people’s problems ….

                  ….

I’ve probably shown more of my hand than I should have .. and people won’t speak with me next year .. but… I’m really trying to get more people to attend …. and understand what they are missing…

…. e.g. If I choose to move to another region of the country, I have many personel connections for possible employment … (for those that don’t attend .. do you?)

If my impressions are incorrect .. I’m sure others will chime in ..

                  Dennis
