After using COPY to copy data to an OBX segment how do I add an end of segment char after the first copy so that the OBX data will display in a row?  Now I have the first copy and the second copy on the same line.

          Dan,

What do you need to use to display the message in the way you’re suggesting?  Are you talking about the receiving system?  Or do simply want an easier way to read the message in SMAT?

Are you suggesting that you want to put a carriage return in the middle of a segment?

What character do you want to put into the message?

This looks like a transcription feed.  It looks like your sending system is using repeating fields to signify a newline.  Wherever you see a ‘~’ is where the sending system says the new line is in the transcription.  Is the problem that the receiving system isn’t displaying it that way?  If so you’ll need to find out what the receiving system uses to denote a new line in the transcription and swap all the ‘~’ with that character.  If they won’t help you try \.br\
