In prior versions one could use groups to view a particular group of threads. Multiple groups could be assigned to an inidividual thread.  For example  I might have a thread belong to inbound, charges, and star.  I can make use of this in tcl code, however the selection in view threads by does not handle group membership when multiple groups are assigned to a thread. This can be seen in the network configuration tool.  Anybody have the same experience.  Any solutions?

Previously I played around with groups but ran into some issues.  I believe the groups would show up correctly if I defined them when I created the thread but if I went back in and made changes, the changes would not be reflected in Netmonitor.  I spoke with the cloverleaf folks and was told there were still some issues they needed to work out.  Looks like they left in the option to add groups in QDX5.2 but the display in Netmonitor does not allow you to see the groupings.

Maybe an alternative to using groups would be to set up different views in netmonitor.  If you wanted to access the “inbound” view within you tcl, you should be able to read the monitor_dflt.mvw file to pull any required view and/or thread information.  Like most Cloverleaf files, this is simply in a list format.

I have seen the issue that Dave is describing also.
