      Hello everyone,

I’m facing a somewhat unusual situation and would like to get your opinions.
We have a client who cannot implement a standard High Availability setup — neither on Windows nor on Linux — due to very strict GPO protections in their IT environment.
We already tried installing Cloverleaf in a standard “HA” configuration, but it didn’t work.

So, we’re considering a more “manual” approach:
having two Cloverleaf instances where the sites are hosted on a shared Windows directory, but with only one Cloverleaf running at a time.
The idea is that if one instance crashes or needs to be stopped, the second Cloverleaf can be manually started and will point to the same sites and shared directory to continue processing.

My question is: does this scenario seem viable to you?
Is it safe to stop one Cloverleaf instance using a site on a shared Windows directory, and then start another Cloverleaf instance using that same shared site to take over processing?

Thanks in advance for your feedback and advice!
