Expand COMMENT Action to honor multiple lines

See post - but essentially return the Comment Action ability to support multiple lines of comments in one Action instead of having to enter multiple COMMENT Actions

I think I may have posed this before but here goes…

In one release of Cloverleaf (probably before Java) the Comment Action of the Xlate allowed multiple lines and honored New-line (enter key) as you would expect in text entry.

I like using a lot of comments especially with complex Xlates to explain to me and others what is going on.

Having to place long comments on multiple Comment Actions just does not look good.

      For example, the following comment:

COMMENT This ITERATE set is constructed thusly:

      – The parent ITERATE is the ORC/OBR Group

      – The child ITERATE is the OBX/NTE Group.

In the later releases of Cloverleaf this would have to occupy 3 COMMENT Actions like this:

COMMENT This ITERATE set is constructed thusly:

COMMENT      –  The parent ITERATE is the ORC/OBR Group

COMMENT       – The child ITERATE is the OBX/NTE Group.

I provided the spacing on the bulleted lines and I am not proposing a text editor here.

The way it is done now, the COMMENTs look unattractive at best, when even more complex the look is cumbersome and unwieldly to utilize.

I am proposing a return to the COMMENT Action supporting at least honoring the enter key within a single COMMENT (any additional text formatting would be a welcome bonus).

      I have attached a poll.

What are your thoughts? Should this be done or not? Your opinions welcome here.
