Is it kosher to have 2 inbound threads going into 1 outbound thread?

So right now we have a normal  TCP/IP inbound -> outbound interface, I want to add a file-based inbound that will occasionally send messages from a text-based file if there are any files in a directory.

      Is this normal/do-able?

      Sorry for the noob question!

Yes, that’s normal. I think a fileset-local protocol thread would work for that.

You can do this, just set the file based one like anything else, and it should work just fine – just remember to include any translations or TCL scripts that are in the route that you are mimicking.  I do that a lot for when resending a group of messages and using the SMAT tool is inconvenient.
