Hi, I wanted to let the community know about a couple of regressions we’ve found in recent patches:
Process panics upon thread stop
A handful of customers have experienced this after applying the 6.2.6 and 19.1.2 patches. We’ve discovered that under certain conditions, stopping an outbound thread in a process will cause the process to panic the next time a message arrives.
We are addressing this in the following hotfixes:
6.2.6.1 – Scheduled for availability July 1.
19.1.2.1 – Scheduled for availability July 10.
Since these are hotfixes, they are not inclusive of previous patches and will need to be installed on top of 6.2.6.0 or 19.1.2.0. For example, users cannot go directly from 6.2.1 to 6.2.6.1. You will need to install 6.2.6.0 and then 6.2.6.1.
Security Server configuration clobbered on installing 6.2.5 or 6.2.6 patch
When advanced security / security server is installed, a section of the server.xml file is added to allow the hostserver to talk to the security server. Installation of the 6.2.5 or 6.2.6 patch results in this section of server.xml being removed.
The workaround is to copy the section in question from the backup copy of server.xml to the active file. Support can provide instructions on how to do this.
We are updating release notes included with the already-released 6.2.6 and 19.1.2 patches to document the above issues.
Please let me know if there are any questions, thank you!
