PROTOCOL:Database-Output

I am trying to configure an interface using PROTOCOL:Database-Output.  I have two database connections in this site.  When I look in PROTOCOL:Database-Input, I see both of these connections as options.  But when I look in PROTOCOL:Database-Output, neither database connection displays under the Database Connection drop-down.

Why?  And what do I need to do to get a Database Connection created under Options–>Site–>Database Configurations to display as a Database Configuration option under PROTOCOL:Database-Output?

I am trying to connect to a SQL Server database.
