What is "Static else route" ?

Just noticed Static else route in NetConfig message routing.

Does anyone know what this is and how it works?

  If a message comes in that has a TrxId that does not match any of the defined routes, the “else” route will be used on that message.
  
  The feature was introduced in 6.2.
