I have the smat history in a location outside the root folder. When I stop the process the only way I can start it back is if I delete the symbolic link first. The symbolic link is then recreated.

What version are you running?

We fixed some issues with SMAT outside the root in the 19.1.1 patch.

Rob,

This is a fresh install of 19.1.1 on a new server. There are no other builds of Cloverleaf on this server. I’ll be rebuilding and current setup which is on version 6.1. Before proceeding with the move of PROD over to the new version I want to make sure this isn’t going to continue to be an issue. I have attached a copy of my current SMAT settings. Is this a known issue or do I have something configured incorrectly? If it is a known issue, any idea on when it will be resolved?

Has there been some resolution to this? We are experiencing the exact same issue with a new install of 19.1.1

The fix will be coming in the next release this spring.

Event Log Notes: I’m told that the next release will be this spring so within a few months. You are already doing what Dev proposed as a work-around.

Resolution:
The issue with process not starting in 19.1.1 due to symbolic links has been accepted by Dev as a bug and will be corrected in the upcoming release. The customer is already performing the suggested work-around, removing the symbolic link and adding it back after the process has started. The customer can also temporarily use the default smat history location until a fix has been released.

what steps do you take to remove the link each time you bounce a process?

• putty into the server
• cd to the process folder
• stop the process (GUI or putty)
• in putty type rm SmatHistory enter
• start the process back (GUI or putty)
• the symbolic link SmatHistory is then recreated
